Turkey Cabbage Rolls
Dr. Gorman tried this Cabbage Rolls recipe from jennycancook.com and is happy that she did! Even though it may sound complicated, it is actually quite easy to make.
In order to have it fit with your eating plan, you may choose to adjust some of the ingredients. Dr. Gorman chose to use ground turkey, and it came it great!

Ingredients
- 1 large head of cabbage – or use 2 smaller heads about 3 lbs.
- 1 Tablespoon olive oil
- 1 cup diced onion
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 2 cups large mushrooms finely diced - 1 1/2(optional)
- 1 pound ground turkey or sirloin
- 3/4 cup uncooked long grain rice brown or white
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- 1 cup Pomi strained tomatoes or canned tomato puree
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- pepper to taste
- 3/4 cup liquid (beef stock cabbage water, or combine with some leftover tomato for 3/4 cup)
