Dr. Eric Johnson NMDDr. Eric Johnson – Naturopathic Medical Doctor

Dr. Eric Johnson is a licensed Naturopathic Medical Doctor (NMD) currently practicing at Revolution Health Medical Center. He received his doctoral training and medical degree from the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine (SCNM) in Arizona. He has also completed extensive post-graduate training in a wide-range of chronic disease conditions as well as numerous treatment modalities.

Today, Dr. Johnson devotes his medical practice to using an integrative and patient-centered approach combining a variety of alternative and conventional methods in order to facilitate health in each patient.  Dr. Johnson currently provides comprehensive primary care, including men’s health, acupuncture, prolotherapy, nutrition and weight loss, pain management, chronic illness and diabetes care to his patients at Revolution Health Medical Center.

Prior to medical school, Dr. Johnson earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Augustana College (Rock Island, IL) where he majored in Biology and Pre-medical studies with additional focuses on Biochemistry and Chinese language. He then completed another degree and worked in emergency medicine (EMT/NAEMT) within the Rock River Region Emergency Medical System.

In addition to his academic history, Dr. Johnson has spent over 20 years training and working in retail and compounding pharmacies. He has also spent time teaching topics related to pharmacy, teaching as an adjunct professor to medical students, and serving as a foreign professor at Central China Normal University in Wuhan, China.

Dr. Johnson grew up in northern Illinois where he developed an unrelenting fascination with all forms of medicine. As an adolescent, he received integrative medical care ranging from visits to his family medical doctor to extensive workups in chiropractic care, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and acupuncture. It was this integrative approach in treating his own health conditions that continually shaped his philosophy and eventually progressed his interest to pursue the rigors of medicine.

Outside of clinical work, Dr. Johnson enjoys spending time with his fiancée, listening to music, photography, watching movies, being outdoors, traveling, playing a variety of sports, riding motorcycles, and participating in culinary arts.

Dr. Johnson is currently accepting new patients at Revolution Health Medical Center and has Saturday appointments available.

As a naturopathic and integrative practice, extensive new patient history paperwork is required.  Amy will invite you to the patient portal and then send you the appropriate forms to complete via the portal.  Our doctors need time to review your information in advance.  If paperwork is not received, Amy unfortunately will have to cancel your appointment.  Your cooperation with Amy in providing timely and accurate paperwork, insurance information, as well as arriving 15 minutes early for your appointments is appreciated.
