Baked Sweet Potato Fries
Sweet Potato Fries or Wedges
Need a side dish that goes with just about everything? Try these spiced sweet potato fries with your next meal. Once you try them the first time, mix it up with a few of your own spice choices. What a great side with these quinoa black bean burgers.
- 2 pounds sweet potatoes, peeled (about 4 medium sized)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Cut/slice peeled (peeling is optional) sweet potatoes into sticks.
Place sweet potato sticks in a bag or bowl.
Coat with olive oil.
Add garlic powder, paprika, salt and pepper.
Stir or shake until well coated.
Line 2 rimmed cookie sheets with parchment paper.
Spread the sweet potato sticks out on the two cookie sheets. (the sticks should not touch each other.
Set timer for 15 minutes and place cookie sheets in pre-heated oven.
Turn sweet potato sticks after 15 minutes.
Place back in oven for 10 more minutes or until crispy.
Remove and serve!
