Frozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis) is stiffness, severe pain, and limited range of movement in your shoulder. It may happen after an injury, overuse or from health issues such as diabetes or a stroke. The tissues around the joint stiffen, scar tissue forms, and shoulder movements become difficult and extremely painful. The condition usually comes on slowly, and then goes away even more slowly taking a year or more for recovery.
Many people can’t get through their daily activities such as dressing, driving, typing at a computer and simple lifting due to the severe pain and restricted motion. Sleep is generally interrupted as well. However, before assuming what you have is frozen shoulder, see our doctors to rule out other conditions or injuries through physical testing and imaging.
Revolution Health Medical Center now offers INBODY body composition testing. Patients and non-patients can have testing done. Those who enroll in our RevolutionRX weight loss program receive this test as part of your program.
